Life is tough when you’re poor. It is hard to pay bills, put food on the table, pay rent and live a good life. You can barely treat yourself, travel and enjoy life to the fullest. When you’re poor it is hard to afford a good car, so getting a cheap second hand car comes with its own issues – like random breakdowns, repairs and missing out on all the new technology (built in wireless chargers, sat nav, etc.) and comfort that makes life easier.
It is also harder to explore opportunities as you are so bogged down in life problems. It can affect your health and mental health, where you feel so lost and helpless that you come to rely on others – like your parents, friends and strangers. They do say beggars can’t be choosers, so you end up doing what you don’t want to do (being dictated to) and live a life you don’t want to live. One positive thing you do get out of all this trouble is inner strength to deal with problems and general shit. But getting your mind back and your confidence is another thing. One I am struggling with.
All this teaches you not to take life for granted, waste opportunities and to take everything that comes your way. You get one life. I wish I did things differently but life is a journey and one that teaches you great things along the way.
People enjoy life, work hard – have a purpose, treat people kindly and look for a higher purpose.
One thing I have found is if you don’t have a purpose in life you will end up lost. When you are lost you could wonder around for take years before you know what you want to do. Know what you want to do and work towards it. Find a real passion – that’s winning.
